Welcome to Wellness Wednesday

I’m glad you’re here! Check back on #WellnessWednesdays for information I find around the internet, inspired by real life, or suggested by readers.

Here’s what to expect: a bit of my own personal life for relationship building and then a topic of the week with three “fast facts” to get you in-the-know without having to commit a lot of time, to peak your interest, and hopefully learn something that can impact your wellness journey.

So let’s talk about Wellness. What is it? Wellness (n): the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal.

A goal you say?! Well, let’s talk goals to kick us off.
Where are you in your wellness journey and where do you want to be?
I’ll start: My body movement just kind of stopped after the birth of my third child. I searched in vain for the right place to make change and after seeing photos of myself on said child’s second birthday I decided that was it. I did a lot of research and built a skilled care-team of wellness professionals to help me out of the funk of life and get me on a health path. I started working out, got stronger, developed better nutrition habits, learned how to build awareness of my daily life, then realized the information to make change is scattered everywhere. How does one ever make change when they don’t know where or how to start? That’s when I decided to become a health coach – to empower others to live their best life, building a collection of said information to feed that empowerment.

I want to be vulnerable with you, to show you who I am, and be honest about past or present hurdles so you know this is an authentic space for growth and empowerment. How do you know you can trust someone new unless they are willing to build a trust bond with you? So in the spirit of transparency, with all the information available at my fingertips and being a wellness professional, I still struggle with my water intake. I was gifted a “smart” water bottle and it tracks my intake, reminding me when it’s time to hydrate! It’s been working fairly well and I’m grateful for such a gift.

I think I have two goals. My personal goal is to take in enough water, proper nutrition, and physical movement to eat cake at a birthday party or have a few drinks on Mom’s Night Out. My professional goal is to build a community of love, trust, and grace that fuels an effortless transition to daily wellness.

I’m excited for us to be in community together and propel your journey forward.

Thank you for holding space for me and for giving yourself the gift of this time.
“See” you soon!
